I keep hearing the same complaint over and over like scenes from the movie “Groundhog Day.”
It goes like this: “Why is it that every time I need a pen I can’t find one? My purse seems like a black hole for pens of all shapes and colors. They seem to disappear like socks in the dryer.”
You might ask why we even need pens since so many transactions are electronic nowadays. In defense of the pen, it has not outgrown its use. We still sign checks and whipping out a pen is still the quickest way to jot down info from voice mail messages.
One pen lover confided, “I tried using a case for my pens. It sunk to the bottom of my purse, buried by all the larger necessities of life. Even my fancy Mount Blanc got eclipsed by a sun glass case and checkbook.”
Friends have told me they constantly face this challenge. Some have pen horror stories, like the time a pen exploded all over the lining of my friend’s new Hilde Pallidino bag from Europe. She entered a deep depression.
So is there a solution? Of course. Use Purse Perfector. It has a special slot just for pens that keeps them upright and at reach at all times. I promise the pens won’t fall out unless you are upside down on a roller coaster with an open purse. That seems rather unlikely.
And if the pen leaks or explodes? No worries. Purse Perfector is washable and quickly line-dries.
As we approach National Ball Point Pen Day on June 10, I invite everyone to join me in unabashed love for the pen. Like newspapers and cable TV, I am just not ready to let go. Allow Purse Perfector to keep a secure hold on your pens for you.

We recently made the trek to Baltimore for the National Association of Professional Organizers‘ annual conference. As an exhibitor, we spent the majority of our time at the Purse Perfector booth, talking with organizers about how our unique purse organizers can help them and their clients be more organized.
Here’s a little photo slideshow we put together of some of our favorite NAPO 2012 encounters:
Our Facebook friends might remember seeing our “Where in the world is Lyn with her Purse Perfector?” photo last month. We had some great guesses, but the winners were the ones who figured out the inventor of Purse Perfector was in New York City at the Met. Well, while in NYC, Lyn did more than just check out the fabulous art the city has to offer. She also stopped in to meet with the folks at OpenSky.
Just in case you’ve never heard of OpenSky, here’s a brief introduction from them about what they do and offer:
Our premise is simple: Because we’re each unique and individual, uniformed stores can’t meet our needs. They don’t inspire and surprise us the way we should be. Shopping should be about discovery. Don’t compromise and settle for the status quo.
On OpenSky, you create your own experience. You decide, based on your personal interests and passions, which people to connect with—we like to call them “curators.” They’re a growing group of tastemakers and experts who are deeply passionate about what they do and what they love. You’ll discover what they discover: the most amazing products and brands you’ve never heard of and the stories (and the brilliant designers and artisans) behind them. You’ll be surprised, delighted, engaged.
OpenSky loves the Purse Perfector and it is considered one of their top sellers (yippee!). Purse Perfector is promoted on OpenSky by both Laura Whittman, the OrgJunkie and Julie Morgenstern. There may soon be another curator at OpenSky to promote Purse Perfector… stay tuned for more!

Why should kids get all the goodies on Halloween? This weekend is your chance to treat yourself to a Purse Perfector. Our made-in-the-USA, sturdy nylon purse organizer will give you pleasure and peace of mind for years to come.
Michelle writes about how she was our biggest skeptic and is now one of our biggest fans. She didn’t expect she’d like the Purse Perfector and in fact left it sitting around for a few months after we gave her one to try out.
She gives it to you straight up (as her blog title indicates), explaining how she initially didn’t see the need for a purse organizer. Now she’s taking the Purse Perfector out of her purse to show it off to her friends! (We’re awfully glad she came around.)
The Honest & Truly Purse Perfector giveaway runs now through October 11.Enter to win one for yourself, or if you already have one, Purse Perfectors make ideal gifts!
We’re always interested to hear what our customers think once they’ve taken their Purse Perfectors for a spin. In the case of bloggers, they happen to be a lot more public–and vocal–about their experience.
Most recently, two bloggers talked about how the Purse Perfector worked for them. Here’s what they said:
Stacey Nerdin: Tree, Root, and Twig
I have absolutely loved my Purse Perfector and use it in my purse every day. I love how it keeps things so organized, but doesn’t take up too much room in my purse. I still have plenty of space around the product to store books, sippy cups, snacks, or whatever needs to be thrown into a busy mom’s purse! And even though I have the smaller of the two available sizes, I still have plenty of room for more items if needed.

Shell: Things I Can’t Say
I’ve actually been able to keep my purse organized in the month that I have been using the Purse Perfector. Something else I love about it is that I can take it out, put it into a different purse, and have everything I need.
I have a spot for my driver’s license, credit cards, gift cards, checkbook, coupons, insurance cards, business cards, receipts, pens, and lip gloss. There’s even room for my phone and my small point and shoot camera.
