Well, of course you’d like to start earning those 10% commissions on Purse Perfector sales.

Try some of these tips to get your audience clicking (and buying). Then, watch those commission dollars start rolling in!

  1. Place our creative banners/text links on your website. If you place them in a sidebar that displays on every page of your site, you’ll increase impressions and, hopefully, opportunities to catch your reader’s eye.
  2. Write an article or post about why you love Purse Perfector (including your affiliate link). Do you keep a Purse Perfector in your own purse to stay organized? Share your experience with your readers, and they might want to try it for themselves.
  3. Record a video of the Purse Perfector in action. After all, seeing is believing! Show how the Purse Perfector transformed your messy purse in organized perfection. You can view lots of examples on the Purse Perfector YouTube channel.
  4. Talk up Purse Perfector in your social spots. Drop a mention of Purse Perfector once in a while, along with your affiliate link, on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn — wherever you’re comfortable and like to socialize with your followers.
  5. Pin it! Do you have a Pinterest account? This highly visual social network makes a great place to highlight products you love. Pin your favorite Purse Perfector color combinations using your affiliate link. If other Pinterest users see your pin, they might click to buy or repin your link.
  6. Include Purse Perfector in your next email newsletter. If you communicate with readers via a regular newsletter, add some banner creative or a simple text link to your email.
  7. Suggest Purse Perfector as a great gift for holidays and occasions: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, graduation, weddings, baby showers, Christmas, Hanukkah, birthdays — any time you do gift guides, featured items, or holiday promotions, consider adding your affiliate link.
  8. If you talk about Purse Perfector to someone in person, you can follow up with them later by sending them an email or text message with your link.
  9. Make a “Favorite Things” list on your site or blog, and include affiliate links (such as Purse Perfector) where appropriate.

Our Visit to OpenSky

Our Facebook friends might remember seeing our “Where in the world is Lyn with her Purse Perfector?” photo last month. We had some great guesses, but the winners were the ones who figured out the inventor of Purse Perfector was in New York City at the Met. Well, while in NYC, Lyn did more than just check out the fabulous art the city has to offer. She also stopped in to meet with the folks at OpenSky.

Joanna Stanberry, Buyer; Lyn; Chelsea Holman, Assistant Buyer

Just in case you’ve never heard of OpenSky, here’s a brief introduction from them about what they do and offer:

Our premise is simple: Because we’re each unique and individual, uniformed stores can’t meet our needs. They don’t inspire and surprise us the way we should be. Shopping should be about discovery. Don’t compromise and settle for the status quo.

On OpenSky, you create your own experience. You decide, based on your personal interests and passions, which people to connect with—we like to call them “curators.” They’re a growing group of tastemakers and experts who are deeply passionate about what they do and what they love. You’ll discover what they discover: the most amazing products and brands you’ve never heard of and the stories (and the brilliant designers and artisans) behind them. You’ll be surprised, delighted, engaged.

OpenSky loves the Purse Perfector and it is considered one of their top sellers (yippee!). Purse Perfector is promoted on OpenSky by both Laura Whittman, the OrgJunkie and Julie Morgenstern.  There may soon be another curator at OpenSky to promote Purse Perfector… stay tuned for more!

Where Are Your Gifts Coming From This Year?

We’ve talked about this before and we’ll probably talk about it again. The fact is, we can’t hide how proud we are to have all of our Purse Perfectors made right here in America.

You know what, though? Being “Made in America” is more than just about pride, it’s about jobs. Spending even just a small portion of your holiday gifts on Made in America products can have a impact on the growth of jobs within the US.

That’s why we’re thrilled to have made the 2011 ABC Made in America Christmas Gift List. This list provides a great list of products all Made in America. All you have do is click on the links, make a few purchases and your part is done.  ABC states:

The average American will spend $704 on holiday gifts and goodies this year, totaling more than $465 billion, the National Retail Federation estimates. If that money was spent entirely on US made products it would create 4.6 million jobs. But it doesn’t even have to be that big. If each of us spent just $64 on American made goods during our holiday shopping, the result would be 200,000 new jobs.

So, the question of the day (or should we say season?) is are you in?  We are–100%. Let others know what your favorite Made in America products are by leaving a comment below.
